Welcome to South East Artists

SEAS (South East ArtistS) are a group of artists and craftmakers from Deal and surrounding areas. Our aim is to actively promote the visual arts and crafts in the local community. We began as a small group of artists in January 2005 and now we have a membership of around fifty members. Anyone is welcome to join us, whether they are a practising artist or just take an interest in the Arts.

For the third year SEAS artists invite the public into their studios to meet the artists, look at their work and talk about art. Most items are for sale, and commissions can be taken.

Open Studios takes place over three weekends during the Deal Festival of Music and Arts, a major local cultural event in July. The SEAS group is working in partnership with the Deal Music Festival, and this year 26 artists will be opening their studios.

Artists Studios will be open from 11am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday through two or three weekends. These are the 5/6th, 12/13th, and 19/20th July. Check the Open Studios guidebook for full details, look for the SEAS banners outside each studio and come along to see for yourselves - you will be most welcome.
